says pregnant women don’t or can’t have a life?
Well, if one were to look at the wide range of maternity clothes
available to them, this myth too will be shattered. A long time ago,
women who were pregnant had to wear maternity clothes that were dull,
boring and practical only within the confines of the home. But as times
changed and more and more women are successfully carrying their
pregnancy to term while continuing to work and lead an active
lifestyle, the kinds of maternity clothes available too have changed.
Today, it is not uncommon to walk into any major departmental store or
clothier and see an entire section devoted to maternity clothes. And
no. Not all of them are devoted to merely innerwear, belts and
harnesses.
The maternity clothes of today are available in a range of customized
wear for all occasions. For those women who continue to go to work in
offices, there are a range of chic and sophisticated maternity clothes.
And not all of them are designed to hide or camouflage the belly. Some
of the more radical designers and fashionistas are boldly designing
maternity clothes where the bulge is the focus of the attire. These
maternity clothes come in regular pants, shirts, executive wear. But
irrespective of the fashion lines, there is one thing common with these
maternity clothes. All of them are designed with the comfort of the
expectant mother in mind. And the range! You could be excused for
assuming that all pregnant women do is to enjoy themselves, indulging
in all kinds of sports and games. The range of maternity clothes would
surely make you think so. There are maternity clothes for golf,
maternity clothes for a day at the beach, bikinis for expectant moms,
maternity clothes for various sporting activities and even maternity
clothes for the fine dining affair mothers to be might want to be seen
at.
Whether you accept it r not, maternity clothes today have become a
widespread and ever growing industry. Some of the most reputed
designers in the fashion business already have their own range of
maternity clothes. Even big retail chains have exclusive, maternity
clothes and accessories section. Your neighborhood tailor has long run
a thriving business in getting the maternity clothes altered, fitted
and expanded to suit the needs of expectant mothers. And now,
manufacturing companies, that specialize exclusively in maternity
clothes are cropping up everywhere.
I
did receive a number of personalized newborn baby gifts within a month
of delivering my daughter. My sister and a few friends who are very
organized had the presence of mind to order personalized presents for
our child once they knew her for awhile.
I
do
favor the personalized newborn baby gifts. They are a sentimental
reminder of my daughter's special day. My sister bought her a piggy
bank with her name and date of birth and my friends bought my daughter
a locket with her name and date of birth inscribed in it. Both of the
sentimental presents will be cherished for years to come.
Now
that my sister is expecting, I have a few ideas for newborn baby gifts
for her baby. I think that I am going to combine the gift basket and
the personalized newborn baby gifts. This way, my sister is sure to
have items directly from her registry and she will also have a
personalized item that she will cherish for her little one.
