Birth
Stone Ring
Mine
is Ruby, what’s yours? Each birth month grants us
with a specific birth stone. Whether we adore or hate our particular
stone, we're pretty much stuck with it for life. The good news is there
are a variety of stones to choose from. If you don't care for your
month, you can always pick a different stone. Birth stone rings are
becoming more popular these days, comparable to
diamonds. Birth stone rings offer a wonderful
variety when searching for that perfect gift for a loved one. In my
experience, people enjoy having their stone set in a ring. It
gives them identity.
Birthstones offer a “breakaway” from the norm of
mundane jewelry we often encounter in the malls and department stores,
and in many occasions, they sell for a more reasonable price,
too. Many folks these days are turning to birth
stone rings as opposed to the standard diamond ring for their
engagement. My uncle and I are a couple of those who decided to take a
chance with the birthstones. When I first began my search for the
perfect engagement ring, I instinctively, looked for diamonds. After
days of searching the web for that perfect platinum ring with the
ideal, yet uniquely cut diamond, I found myself lost in a maze of
generic looking jewelry. Fortunately I came up with the idea of a
birthstone. Afterwards, I thought to myself, why didn't I
think of this sooner? The first step was to find out my
girlfriend’s birthstone. I mean after seven years,
you think I might already know it? In reality, I only knew my
own. Once I discovered her birthstone was a blue topaz, I immediately
hopped on my computer, since I've yet to see a selection that can beat
the Internet, and searched for birth stone rings. In no time, sites
such as ice.com and bluenile.com were popping up like
crazy. After finding that special ring, designed
exactly the way I desired, but with a much lesser price than the
diamonds I had previously reviewed, I was glad. Virtually,
any cut you prefer on the band of your choice is available.
A variety of complimenting stones to set off the birthstone comes in
wide array. Mine was a pristine, trillion cut, blue
topaz, surrounded by diamonds and white gold. The
ring worked beautifully when I proposed. My lady was not only
surprised, but also pleased at the distinct, yet stunning look of her
ring. She gets compliments, while I get a sizzling kiss on the left
cheek, every time!
